For some reason YouTube puts videos from Murdoch’s Sun redtop tabloid on my “News” recommendations. Usually they have all of the intellectual rigor of a Noddy book but this montage from the end of last night’s Presidential Debacle shows exactly who the two candidates are.

The end of the last debate debacle was telling. Trump’s wife strode up maskless, stood next to him and virtually clicked her heels adopting a model pose. Biden’s wife walked up with a mask and the two just hugged. Reminds me of the sort of quiet touches of affection we saw in photos of Michelle and Barak
In last night’s “End of the Trump Show” performance, we saw much the same displays of unbridle affection from the candidate’s wives. Jill was wearing a mask with the same design as her dress. The Sun has caught some extra details.
Melania stands to attention (movement must be tricky in those heels and her new mask, which Trump must have insisted on /s). There was then a short verbal exchange which looked like it went: “How did I do, First Lady?”; “Sir, you had the best Presidential debate since Abraham Lincoln”.

They then stand stock still next to each other with Donald doing a hand grab, looking like he’s at a football game and cannot remember the opening lines to “The Star Spangled Banner”. They keep the pose while Joe and Jill finish hugging, and acknowledge the “crowd”. Joe going over to thank the moderator as he goes back to Jill, she waves to the audience. At that point, Trump turns saying something like “Let’s go” and turn their backs to ignore Jill waving at them. I am sure this was friendly rather than just practice for January. The Bidens go off arm in arm.
On the other side, Melania snatches her hand from Donald’s grasp and walks off in front of him. That scene we are used to, having seen it over the years. This video adds a new, confusing and perhaps disturbing sequel. Donald goes after her and makes contact with her rear. It’s not clear if this is a blundered attempt to show affection, a sort of proprietorial claiming of property or a reminder of what he got up to with Stormy Daniels but with him wielding the rolled-up magazine.
Whatever the intention, it’s decidedly creepy.
