Debate starts at a new time: 8:30 ET / 7:30 CT / 6:30 MT / 5:30 PT -- yes, CNN moved the time to half-hour earlier. We think they will do about 10 minutes of pre-debate/pre-game patter and then actually start debating at 40 minutes past the hour.
1st debate is a huge moment so the press wants a narrative. Therefore, we need to twitter storm during the debate -- live in real time. Bernie is Awesome ... He is winning the Debate Hands Down even before it starts!!!

Doubtful and yet optimistic view:
The public is willing and able to process information if it is available. Therefore, a lack of public support or participation is caused by a lack of information available to the public.
More likely view as summarized in wikipedia:
The information "consumers" have limited benefits and time for processing and understanding information. Due to the limited benefits and time individuals have for learning new information, individuals use various shortcuts and heuristics to understand information quicker. Simply put, it does not make sense for the average individual to develop in depth understandings of most issues. The theory is often used to explain the limited understanding of politics and scientific technologies by the general public.
Bottom line:
This first Democratic Debate Tuesday, Oct. 13, is the best opportunity to reach voters who are undecided or leaning for Bernie 2016
