Maddow just told the story of this kid who knows he is failing his Exam, in the middle of taking it. Desperate, he manages to pull the school’s Fire Alarm. Granted, he gets caught, and he catches hell for that stunt. But he is no longer “failing the Exam”— everyone is now focused on his “bad behavior.” Side benefit —the Exam was cancelled.
Then Maddow draws that as an analogy of what Trump did in the Debate: When he realized he was “failing his Exam”— before a national audience — he does something so unthinkable, it will change for discussion for days. Trump vehemently tells the made-up urban legend of Haitian immigrants stealing and eating pets.
A stunt so outrageous, a stunned nation will be talking about it for a week, or even longer, if the instigators can keep doubling and tripling down on their vicious lies.
Maddow concludes: Trump has accomplished his “reframing” goals. The people (and Media) are no longer focused on his bad Debate performance — instead, they chase the “shiny object”of his choosing. Concerning topics and hot buttons well within his BS wheel-house.
The national discussion once again “gets steered” by Trump’s latest outrage — each one bigger than the last. The subject has been changed. And the Media falls for it everytime. The scale of the latest lying outrage, and its fallout, demands it.
The vileness of Trump-Vance bald-face lies simply consumes ALL the Oxygen of the News-cycle.

More than a dozen Reagan alumni endorse Vice President Harris
TheHill — Sept 15, 2024
Seventeen Republicans who worked under former President Reagan endorsed Vice President Harris, her campaign announced in a press release Sunday.
[...]“It’s our hope that this letter will signal to other Republicans and former Republicans that supporting the Democratic ticket this year is the only path forward toward an America that is strong and viable for our children and grandchildren for years to come,” they wrote.
[...]The statement follows a similar endorsement memo for Harris from more than 230 former staffers for Republican Presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush and for presidential nominees Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) and the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).

Bush, McCain, and Romney Alumni for Harris Statement
Bush, McCain, and Romney Alumni for Harris Statement Four years ago, President George W. Bush, the late Sen. John McCain, and then-Gov. Mitt Romney alumni came together to warn fellow Republicans that re-electing President Trump would be a disaster for our nation. In those declarations we stated the plain truth, each predicting that another four years of a Trump presidency would irreparably damage our beloved democracy.
[...]We reunite today, joined by new George H.W. Bush alumni, to reinforce our 2020 statements and, for the first time, jointly declare that we’re voting for Vice President Kamala Harris and Gov. Tim Walz this November.
[...]At home, another four years of Donald Trump’s chaotic leadership, this time focused on advancing the dangerous goals of Project 2025, will hurt real, everyday people and weaken our sacred institutions.
Abroad, democratic movements will be irreparably jeopardized as Trump and his acolyte JD Vance kowtow to dictators like Vladimir Putin while turning their backs on our allies.
We can’t let that happen.

Ten former top US military officials back Harris, call Trump 'a danger'
A group of 10 retired top U.S. military officials endorsed U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris in a letter made public on Monday, saying she is the only presidential candidate fit to serve as the nation's commander in chief and calling her Republican rival Donald Trump"a danger to our national security and democracy."The letter, signed by Retired General Larry Ellis and Retired Rear Admiral Michael Smith, among others, cited Trump's comments disparaging members of the military and his own "chaotic approach" to Afghanistan ahead of the U.S. withdrawal, including negotiating a deal with the Taliban that allowed 5,000 of the group's fighters to return to the battlefield. In contrast, they wrote, Harris "has demonstrated her ability to take on the most difficult national security challenges in the Situation Room and on the international stage," from Russia's invasion of Ukraine to tensions with China in the Indo-Pacific."Harris is the best — and only — presidential candidate in this race who is fit to serve as our commander in chief," they wrote in the letter posted on X by Harris' campaign.[...]
Those were the stories “untold”— because our choosers of News, were too busy trying to figure out: What Trump-Vance really meant by their Outrage Du Jour??

If they looked at the Debate as America’s CEO Job Interview— as they historically used to be — then the outrageous stunts should be taken at face value. They should be taken as disqualifying. The offensive Candidate in a word, should have been dismissed as: Unserious.
Coulda, woulda, shoulda.
We should have learned by now, to quit falling the Delinquent and his latest Fire Alarm stunts:
Clik here to view.

The recurring train-wreck that are Trump’s deceptions, will someday end this noble experiment in Democracy …if the Media does NOT wise upfast—to how they just keep ‘getting played’.
